Vacations To China Better Than Vegas

You’ll see plenty of advertisements in the newspaper for vacations to all corners of the Earth, but most of ad space looks to be dedicated to the pretentious and tacky. There are thousands of offers to get you to Vegas but what if you crave something different? Vacations to China are less likely to be shown in those ad spaces, but they ought to be. If las vegas isn’t your cup of tea, here is why a visit to China could be the perfect anti-Vegas vacation :

In las vegas, you gamble. Really, it’s the entire reason for the existence of the town in the 1st place. The whole of Vegas is structured to clear your pockets with a quick flourish at the card tables. In China, betting isn’t lawful, but you can bet on spending a lot of time visiting the important sights of China the Great Wall, for instance. Built in sections and pieces for hundreds of years to keep out attackers, these sites will not empty your wallet, but they’ll fill your mind with true wonder.

In Vegas, betting may be the favorite sport, but drinking is a close second. The entire town reeks of beer, and you’ll find people with open containers of alcohol stumbling along the main drag at all hours of the day. In China, drinking is a long way from illegal you’ll soon learn the phrase Gan bei! means literally, bottoms up. But instead of filling your belly with inexpensive, bottom shelf booze, China will offer you Bai Jiu, and makes drinking into just about a social ritual meant to bring folk closer together.

In Vegas, one of the few popular non-gambling activities is going to see the shows. While we can agree that there are some engaging acts in Vegas, it can be debated that not even the popular Cirque du Solais shows can hold a candle to a good Chinese opera. But that is no knock on the Vegas operations China has been practicing the art of the opera for decades. In the Chinese opera style known as Beijing Opera, the actors display great abilities in dance and other movements, song and other spoken word pieces, and physical acting.

Of course, part of the fun of staying in Las Vegas is the immense and complicated hostels. These theme resorts may cover the spectrum from fun and hokey to glittery and intricate, but none could hold a candle to the Wangfujing Grand Hotel in Beijing. China vacation packages take on a whole new meaning when you pass the time at this luxurious accommodation, which is walking distance from the forbidden city.
