New York City is the most fabulous city in the world. I’ll admit that I have not actually been to every city in the entire world, but I’ve been to a lot of them and I don’t think I have ever seen one that offers everything NYC does.
I am a late night person so one of the things I really love about Manhattan is how it’s the always moving. At any time of the night you can find something cool still going on (if you go to the right areas.) In comparison I visited Dublin recently and I was quite disappointed at how nothing much was open past midnight.
Something else that is really awesome about New York is all of the excellent music that you can hear at shows in the city. Every night there is someone you’ve heard of playing at some venue in the city because every band makes a stop there during their US tour. The city is home to many awesome music venues like Madison Square Garden.
If you’re a sports fan then you’re going to be able to see a game because NYC is home to the NY Yankees among many other professional sports teams. While it is true that the football games take place in East Rutherford, New Jersey, it is not too far of a ride. I’m not much of a NFL fan, but I did go to Giants stadium once to see a music festival and it is not a bad drive at all.
Possibly much more exciting to you than sports or music are the legendary landmarks that you can visit. You have seen pictures of Times Square, Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty but when you visit NYC you’ll get to see these fantastic things in person and you will definitely never forget the experience!
