Helping Stranded Travellers
Few luxury cruises not so long ago left UK to different countries to help the stranded vacationers in Spain, Amsterdam and many other European destinations. This is because the flights have been cancelled for few days as the volcanic ash are still covering the sky. One of them was cruise ship Celebrity Eclipse. Eclipse cancelled their launch which was meant to happen on April 22nd to assist the vacationers who are still waiting to come home back home from Spain because of the flights being cancelled.
Many people from the UK went abroad for a holiday to celebrate Easter with their family but they have been stuck their because of this. Few managed to come back by train or ferry but a lot of them are still abroad waiting for some help. Celebrity Eclipse cruise ship arrived in Southampton, UK on the 20th of April and then left for Spain. It went to pick up about 2,000 travellers who were stranded in Bilbao, Spain.
The ship dedicated to the UK, helping the UK citizens stranded abroad is a great gesture and help from the cruise ship. There are many people who could have made their way home through this route earlier but unfortunately some of them did not have any money to spend. This great help from Celebrity Eclipse will definitely comes as a surprise but this is something that has to be done to help these vacationers get home. Most of them are missing work. Some are missing school and universities especially when the exams are near. As you may be have seen in BBC news there was a massive smile on people’s face and also relief of knowing that a cruise is coming to help them to take them home. They said they were excited to come back home and also would like to thank Celebrity cruise ship for this help. Some are already planning ahead and thinking of using Celebrity cruises for their cruising holiday.
My next holiday is definitely going to be a cruising holiday to either silversea cruises or voyages of discovery , I will definitely be choosing Celebrity Eclipse. Celebrity eclipses have also won the award of the most trusted surveys of consumer travel preferences in the World, long name award name though. This is another one of the cruise ship’s great achievement. They are definitely building their reputation in a positive manner.
