Decisions Of A Coporate Traveller

At the end of a hard day at work, there is nothing better I like doing than watching TV. I find this helps me slow down and unwind after a day in the office. But I cannot do this when I take an annual holiday. In a week or so I have a holiday coming up which I would like to book somewhere in Europe but I am not sure if my family would want to travel so far as most of the time my wife is also working long hours. Nevertheless I will continue to look at Europe and once I have found a destination I will then broach the subject with my wife.

One of the best vacations I ever had was in the gambling capital of the world Las Vegas. Vegas is a really great place. My wife enjoyed the shows and I enjoyed the casinos where I actually came away with funds in my pocket to my amazement. We stayed in the Bellagio which was every bit as beautiful as the photos and the staff were very courteous at every opportunity.

I tour a lot with my work overseas and have been fortunate to visit quite a few resorts this year such as Finland, Holland, Germany, America so travelling is not a big need for me but my wife gets jealous of my travelling and I wish I could take her with me when I go. The problem with travelling for business is that most of the time I fly in have a appointment in a hotel business meeting room usually on the airport, then I stay overnight at the same hotel then fly back. Very rarely do I get to experience the cities in which I stay.

Some of the hotels I stay in are fantastic with all conveniences and are clean others although they have a reputable name are dirty and need a good clean. In one specific hotel, there were mice in my room and when I complained I was given mouse traps and told how to set it to catch the mouse that was running around! Needless to say after a very stern discussion with the manager I left with a refund and moved onto another hotel for that night which also had mice but not in my room which was a really good thing so no pest control was needed.

So hopefully now you can empathize why I enjoy spending my time in front of the TV rather than going away but I will book a vacation for the sake of my wife who deserves a break. We could just stay here in the UK and try to relax but the weather isn’t particularly excellent as it is raining constantly at the moment and there looks to be no let up yet.
