More and more people these days are renting vacation homes in Thailand. The reason being that you can find fantastic properties at great prices. A prime location is the coastal town of Bangsaen, which is just an hours drive from Bangkok’s international airport.
Affluent Thai people have been spending their weekends and vacations in Bangsaen for a long time, but it is only fairly recently that non-Thais have fully recognized what the coastal town has to offer. It is now a fully fledged resort, with beautiful beaches, promenades, shopping malls, bars and restaurants. It has managed to keep its former charm and peacefulness, which is what distinguishes it from the larger and more well known resort of Pattaya, which is the nearest city.
To accommodate the increasing amounts of visitors, several new exclusive housing estates have been built in Bangsaen. These are no ordinary properties; modern interior design, private swimming pools and professionally landscaped gardens all being common. You will be 10 minutes away from the beach at most, and quite possibly even right next to it.
The owners of these homes tend not to live in them for most of the year though, as they have jobs to do and responsibilities to uphold elsewhere. It is therefore common for them to rent out their property to tourists. So, you can find yourself a home from home whilst you are in Thailand.
How much you end up paying to temporarily rent a luxury home in Bangsaen depends on the type of property that you opt for. However much a beach-side property costs to rent in your own country, it will certainly be a lot cheaper in Bangsaen. As a rough guide, to rent a modern 4 bedroom home for a week, prices start from around $100. If you plan to stay for more than a couple of weeks, then prices are reduced accordingly.
Find some pictures of Bangsaen by typing the name in to Google image search and you will not need any more convincing. With its natural beauty and the influx of tourists, prices will not remain this affordable for much longer – maybe a couple of years at most. Buy a property in Bangsaen if you have the funds available, but at the very least spend some time there in a rented vacation home.
