The church of London were very extraordinary, many and divers. They usually lie in an Anglican diocese at London from the northern part then in Southwark in southern part. Due to History, the 2 parts in London which is north of Thames, east in River called Lea fall in a diocese located at Chelmsford. There’s still numerous churches, 2000 at least in the capital, with many styles and different ages, on designs and of evolution which had been in assistance of many numerous architects, giving their unique contributions. When London increased in size on the 19th century, lots of churches had been built catering the rise of the population in the provinces. Like the church of Waterloo, as an example, saw many churches being built across the southern part of London, it’s during the first 50 years.
Church Implications
There maybe lots of churches which were totally or in parts lost during the 19th century demolition and the bombings on 2nd World War. In London the church that remained are known internationally due to its historical as well as architectural values. These days, the greatest focus on the historical churches and the cathedrals were in London and Westminster. Some of these churches had been mentioned on rhymes. If not been noted, these churches are on list of Anglican Churches.
The Architectural Designs of Wren
During the year 1666, in London even before the so called Great Fire there are at least 107 built churches in the place which are at least 1 sq mile or 2.6 sq. km. There are 86 churches that had been destroyed; there are at least 51 that were reconstructed with the cathedral of St. Paul. Majority of these church designs are regarded to be works of the well known architect, Sir Christopher Wren, yet this reconstruction was completely entrusted, the functions of many of his associates like that of Nicholas Hawksmoor and that of Robert Hooke were reanalyzed.
